We are based at Finca Dumisani, a small organic farm in Catalonia run by your hosts Iris and John.
With over 30 years fishing experience both in the UK and on the continent, John is very experienced and fishes
for all river ebro species using a range of methods. The river Ebro offers excellent course
fishing for carp, catfish, zander and bass. Our unusual accommodation is a fully converted bus! It is equipped for four
and is located in an almond and olive grove.
We are far enough inland to be in a quiet location, yet close enough to small seaside resorts, mountains, and
places of historic interest. We are within walking distance from the local village which has shops, a post office,
bakery, bank, bars, and restaurant. It also has a train station on the main line to Reus, Barcelona, and Zaragoza
to where you can fly.
Many Spanish farmers are eco-friendly and like them, we try to be as eco-friendly as we can. We recycle
and compost as much as we can. We collect rain water into one of our cisternas whenever we can for
general agricultural use. Our crops (almonds, olives, vegetables, fruit, and salad) are all grown organically.
Our chickens are free range and we have goats for making goats cheese. We use mineral water for cooking and
drinking. Water is heated by solar power and we will be installing solar electricity when we are able.
We use a 8KW generator for mains power at the moment.
